Kid City Leadership Pathway

Growing in Faith. Growing in Leadership. Growing in Christ.

At Kid City, we believe every child has God-given gifts and the potential to make a difference. That's why we've created a fun and encouraging leadership pathway that helps children grow in confidence, responsibility, kindness, and faith.

As children participate regularly in Kid City, they have opportunities to earn recognition, serve others, and develop leadership skills in a safe, age-appropriate environment.

STEP 1

Become an Official Kid City Member

Children who attend Kid City regularly earn their official Kid City T-Shirt.

This special milestone celebrates their commitment to being part of the Kid City family and helps them feel connected to our community.

Earned after:

  • 4 Visits
    OR

  • 4 Consecutive Weeks

STEP 2

Kid City Leader-in-Training (KIT)

Leader-in-Training is our first student leadership opportunity.

Children who demonstrate kindness, participation, and consistency may be invited to serve as Leaders-in-Training for a one-month term.

KITs help by:

  • Welcoming new children

  • Line Leader

  • Passing out supplies

  • Encouraging their peers

  • Helping create a positive environment

Leader-in-Training students are helpers and role models who learn the importance of serving others.

*KITs are not responsible for disciplining, safety, or managing other children.

STEP 3

Kid City Ambassador

The Kid City Ambassador Program is our highest elementary-age recognition.

Ambassadors are selected from children who consistently demonstrate:

  • Kindness

  • Responsibility

  • Leadership

  • Inclusion

  • Positive participation

Ambassadors serve as role models who help make Kid City a place where every child feels welcome and loved.

Ambassador terms last three months and may be renewed.

Ambassador Pledge

I will be kind. I will be welcoming. I will include others. I will serve with joy. I will be respectful.

I will help Kid City be a place where everyone belongs.

I will shine God's love wherever I go.

What We Teach

At Kid City, leadership is not about being the boss.

Leadership means:

  • Serving others

  • Including everyone

  • Showing kindness

  • Being responsible

  • Following Jesus' example

Our goal is to help children discover that God can use them right now to make a positive difference in the lives of others.

Whether it's your child's first Sunday or they have been attending for years, Kid City is a place where children can grow in faith, build friendships, develop confidence, and learn how to serve others.

We do more than just childcare, we build future leaders. Through our structured Kid City Leadership Pathway, children learn valuable life skills like kindness, responsibility, and inclusion. Regular attendees can progress from official members to Leaders-in-Training (KITs), and even earn the high honor of becoming a Kid City Ambassador. Guided by Matthew 5:16, we teach our students how to serve others and shine God’s light wherever they go.
